Sora’s Star asked:

I go to the store and all of the veggies and fruits are grown in Mexico! Even the organic. How can they call the food in Mexico safe, their water quality isn’t good. There’s like tons of dieseases! Does anyone know why this is happening?

  2. Mexico is part of the North America Trade agreement. Their climate is more favourable for growing fruits and veggies in what the rest of us know as winter.
When shopping for fruits and vegetables it is best to read the lables on the wrappers, then you know that you have the produce that you trust.

  3. Not only cheaper labor, but they have a different growing season down there, plus it’s milder in winter (frost), so there’s a longer growing season. They are able to supply us with fruits and vegetables that are out of season here due to the season/weather. The same is true of Chile. It seems safe. People aren’t complaining of turista here. We don’t know what the long-term effects are, though.

  4. The fruits and vegetables we eat in the US are imported from many countries. It is how we are able to get fresh fruit year around. As other contries have warmer climates when is winter here and vice versa. We export fruits and veggies to other countries when it is winter for them.

  5. It is called warehouse marketing ..
USA sends food products around the world because they can get a better price..than to sell it at home..
eventually the computer industry will expose the farce
today the wholesalers KNOW the market price you and I pay
and all the debt factors of the farmers or ranchers..(IRS #s)
Holiday market puts an item on sale it last the month,, BUT in that add it made note of the NEW price - - -
you can’t possiably remember that number…
    I did,,, on a sugar add… I got a years supply
