  1. It is much cheaper by plane. Buses tend to be very expensive on long distances. You should try the low cost airlines such as interjet
    or volaris
or if you want to fly reaaaallly cheap you can do vivaareobus, but their schedule and flights are not 100% reliable (your flight might get canceled and you find yourself with a refund but no way to go home). But is definitely the cheapest:

Volaris and interjet are very reliable. Volaris is also very punctual.
    Hope it helps.

  2. On the west coast it is sometimes more expensive to take a bus. For examle Acapulco to Tijuana is less to fly but overall Bus travel is huge and very competitive. You can take a bus from Acapulco to Nuevo Laredo for a little under $100.00 dollars. Airfare will not get you half that far.
Bus travel is your cheapest mode of transportation and has always cost around $10.00 per 100 miles in 90% of all my experiences over 30 years.
Your airfare not including taxi fare at both airports with Areomexico will set you back $264.00 U.S.A. dollars or $3,500 Pesos
From Monterrey to Cuidad de Juarez should cost you $1.000.00 Pesos and you will not find a flight anywhere near that. That is 750 miles or 1200 km.
You have not said whether you are Mexican or a tourist so I did my best to give you you would have to pay in Mexico.

  3. It is cheaper to take the bus, and the first class and premier buses are very comfortable. You sit in a comfy recliner type seat and get to watch cheesy movies.

Here is an excellent guide to Mexico buses with schedules
and here is one bus company that goes there

  4. Bus prices are far cheaper. Remember that the bus prices are given in pesos, not dollars tho the $ sign is used for both. So if you see a bus price listed as $356.00, that means pesos , not dollars. there are currently about 13 pesos to every dollar….so that bus fare would be a little over $27.00 U.S. dollars.
