It will definitely open us up to more terrorist threats. Why build a wall to keep illegals out, if we’re just gonna let them come in by the truckload! Their trucks, according to what I’ve been told, haven’t even been cleared or insured to operate in our country. What if they get into an accident and kill innocent Americans. What then? It seems as if this country takes three steps back for every two steps forward. Obviously we’ve learned nothing since 9-11-01.

Let’s be honest. Nobody really wants to share the road with US truckers. Tell me your life doesn’t flash before your eyes when you are stuck between two 18-wheelers on a freeway. If they have to follow the same guidelines as US truckers (which they do) I don’t see how Mexican truckers could be any worse than what we have.

IT IS WRONG!

We have no idea what is in those trucks, including people. Can you imagine what a killing a coyote would make with a truck load of illegals?

Pro-illegal people keep saying that the illegal aliens are take jobs that Americans don’t want. While I think that’s a pile of horse poo, the Mexican truckers are taking jobs Americans currently have!

This is another example of how Jorge Bush is an idiot, Congress is out of touch and that they care more about Mexico than America!

Sure. Now instead of sneaking across the border, then can just load up a semi full and bring them over the border into the U.S. Some of that “merchandise” will likely be illegal drugs, too.

I think we are going to see our problems substantially increase. Unless the government plans to do a complete check of every single truck that passes our border from cab to bumper we are going to see an increase in drugs, illegal immigrants, etc.

I also think there will be many accidents due to lack of inspection and maintenance on these vehicles and I feel bad for the people who live in the communities in which these trucks will be passing.

I am against it. I think the Congressional resolution about it was totally ignored by Bush (real surprise) and he may well regret it. This is an end run around very expensive security we are funding for our ports and expensive to comply with requirements for our trucks and truckers, and is not in the best interest of our country’s workers, at all.

That’s the plan Stan. Keep the people of America in fear of terrorist attacks. Especially when the biggest terrorists sit in the first and second seats of the white house administration. Called commander in chief, and hir right hand man VP. Need to continue to steal as much money from the tax payers as they can while still in office you know. After all, this is how Gran-daddy Bush stole $1.5 Billion dollars and put it in a trust fund for Daddy Bush Sr. And since this is the way this Bush has always aquired money from the tax payers for his bad business deals. Beings this Bush is unlikely to see any of the money the old man has stashed, he must steal as much as he can for himself, and his crooked friends. Even the ones in Canada, and Mexico.

If the trucks do not fall under US and State guidelines, then they won’t mind having their tires shot out from under them will they.

We are after all applying our legal rights to protect our country and nation, when a President without a spine won’t use his authority, and power to protect this nation. He swore to uphold the laws of this nation, and the constitution. Do you see that happening

I don’t like it because it’s contradictory to what the government said about Homeland Security but not because Mexicans are involved. For both borders (Mex and Can) trucks should be limited in the distance they can travel in the US and should be monitored be a GPS system to insure the route they are going among other security measures once in the US.
That’s a big task but you can’t outsource everything and expect nothing to happen.

There are a few faults in your question.
1. They will fall under US and state guidelines because they are traveling on US and state roads.
2. If this is opening the door for terrorists then why not close the door from Canada?
I think the roads are just that, roads not American or Mexican, just roads.
