Johnny asked:
I was told a while back that fireworks are perfectly legal in Mexico and bringing them into Mexico is no big deal. On one hand, this is a little hard to believe considering all the explosives/firearms being smuggled now, however it seems that they sell/use fireworks everywhere you go. If I were to bring them across and get caught with them, what would be the penalty? Not saying I’m going to do it, just curious.

as of a couple years ago, fireworks were legal, cheap and plentiful. and types that were not legal here, so usually people were smuggling from mex to US. but if you are talking about fireworks that are legal here (In California- like the ones the boy scouts sell) then i don’t see how you could get in trouble, they just wouldn’t let you bring them in. but it seems easier just to buy and use them there…
