It's cheap, fun, is the mexican city that never sleeps, and the sun is just great! You would consider Acapulco right now because most of the country is cold, so I think Acapulco is the way to go!!!! Depends on the days you have you can make a tour from cancun to mexico city, you'll need a lot of days for that, If you prefer beaches, puerto aventura or tulum which are near from Cancun are cheaper than the last one and Playa del Carmen. Oaxaca has his problems still, but they are not as they used to be last year, things are pretty calm by now, it's a nice place to visit and it has Huatulco 5 hours away.
