A new resort that definitely plans to celebrate the New Year is Dreams Riviera Cancun. It is a family friendly, all inclusive resort located on a gorgeous beach. On New Years Eve they will have a gourmet dinner and dancing on the beach. Kids can participate in the supervised campout while adults have their own party. On New Years Day you can look forward to a brunch on the beach and then a full day of tailgating and watching the bowl games. Hope this helps!

If you're going to an all inclusive, they will many times have events on site. I attached a link to an english news site that usually lists all the activities. They don't have anything yet on New years but keep an eye on it; they will.
