This is a very beautiful beach, great scenery and lots of family activities. You can do anything from snorkeling in one of the bays, rafting, horseback riding to visit coffee plantations. Since they recently started to promote it as a turistic spot around the world it´s still not as popular as Cancun or Acapulco, and that makes it way cheaper. But this doesnt mean u cant find great accomodation and good food. Camino Real Zaashila and Barceló are very good quality hotels with an average rate of $200 USD. I did an internship in the first hotel chain but in another location and I actually stayed at Barceló in Huatulco. About food... you won´t spend as much if u go around town and try the exquisit typical dishes (the state of Oaxaca is famous for its food) as if u stay and dine at your hotel.
