  1. Research! I don’t know what the requirements are for getting your license changed to that country, However, If you find an employer/employment, see if they will guide you down the right path for the conversion. A good place to ask this question is on Justhelicopters.com. Sign up and navigate to the “Alternate forum”. You will most likely get genuine answers. Or…..you could research the web to find operators that have openings in Mexico. You will most likely be instructing or flying tours…stear clear of drug trafficing.

  2. I totally agree with Mile High. You probably will not find anyone on Yahoo that is familiar with specific job openings in Mexico, so you will have to do a lot of work to get the information you need.

Start with helicopter pilot forums. Most users on the following sites are helicopter pilots and they will be more likely to have useful information:?

I also second the recommendation to stay away from drug interdiction or drug trafficking if you value your safety. I have heard bad stories.

I understand that there are offshore oil jobs in the Gulf of Mexico. I don’t know what companies operate in Mexico, however.

You might also try helicopter job listings:

You could even try contacting random helicopter operators that you find to see if they know any companies that are hiring, like tour companies:

I’m sure there are many opportunities, but you will have to get creative with your searches. You will also have to be persistent. Just keep digging and talking to anybody you can find who might have the information you need.

    Good luck!
