Mexico Vacations
nomno13 asked:

what image do you think they give?
legal drinking age in Mexico is 18, and in parts of Europe 16.
They look like they have no education.
they buy a bottle of one litter of tequila and they finish it in big gulps, why don’t they teach them how to drink at home?
they play jokes on each other that would kill some of them.
And then later in life some become soldiers, and they go to invade other countries and behave even worst.

  2. That they are wild, crazy and easy. That is one of the main reason teens go to Mexico and also in all border towns, is that the Mexican officials and bars do not care how old these teens are and they sell them alcohol alnyway, becasue all they want is money, and there are also places that drug these teens to take advantage of them and rape them.

  4. I’ve seen what they’re like here and I doubt it’s much different. For the most part…..I doubt alot of the parents would be happy. They can get a bit wild. You mean Mexican teens don’t?

  5. It isn’t a situation specific to Mexico, to many Americas are bad travelers. Every nation has its own standards regarding appropriate public behaviors, dress, public display and generally behavior. You must also abide by the laws of the nation you are visiting. When you are travel ling you are entering somebody Else’s domain, behaving appropriately is a matter of respect.

  7. I´m sick of this “image” being converted into a false stereotype. A lot of Mexicans think that just because teens act “wild” in Cancun when they´re on vacation it means that they´re like that all the time, which is NOT true. Everybody lets their hair down when they´re on vacation, including the Mexicans who have a chance to go abroad.

  8. As a Mexican-Canadian, I have gone to many resort towns in Mexico as a “tourist”, and I’m appalled at the way American teens behave!! they act like total idiots, do nothing but drink themselves unconscious, and disturb anyone around them with their obnoxious, loud behaviour. I was in a club in Cancun with friends one night, and we saw a YOUNG American girl putting on quite a show on the dance floor! she came close to taking her clothes off, did cartwheels in her thong and mini skirt, fell all over the place because she was drunk stupid, and she was by herself! she couldn’t have been more than 17!! What is most irritating is when these stupid kids get mugged, robbed, etc., or ARRESTED, and then Americans act as if they were little angels going south “to have good, wholesome fun”!!… wake up! these kids are out of control

  10. American youth are not expected to make decisions regarding adult matters. Therefore, when they travel to a foreign country that actually grants them some personal independence, they can’t control themselves.

  11. Yes, some of them behave terribly. It’s the same with Mexicans who come to the United States illegally to work.

  12. Your question has nothing to do with immigration.

  13. I think you’re talking about *some* teens. And they could be from any country.

But let’s pit the American teen-age vacationer you describe (getting drunk and having promiscuous sex) with *some* illegals from Mexico who are here in America who are getting drunk, having promiscuous sex, bankrupting our economy, raping, kidnapping, murdering, stealing jobs, living off welfare, refusing to learn the language at all, who hate America yet take advantage of everything we offer, who clog the emergency rooms so the cost of medical care is soaring, who send their non-English speaking kids to school so the entire class must slow down for them, who bring in drugs and crime and diseases like resistant TB and Hep A.

I’ll take the American teens thank you very much!

  14. thats why the girls gone wild people go there to film them. While they are here in the U.S. they think they’re better than everyone else, but when they leave the country they act like fools.

  15. Why do you care about the image? If each one of those tourists decided to get drunk and party somewhere else instead of Mexico, the Mexican economy would be screwed. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.

  16. yes, and it’s embarassing, and awful!!!! if people came to the US and behaved this way….we would be in a total uproar (which at time, people do behave this way, and we are in an uproar)

to think that we can go to another country, completely ignore their customs of modesty, etc… and then to talk crap about that country…well, it’s just beyond me. it’s shameful and it’s disgusting. if we want people to act nicely here, we need to be a model. it’s completely disrespectful. i don’t see anyone going to the middle east and wearing a miniskirt. so why do we feel we can disregard common curtesy in mexico? it’s complete and total crap.
